Downloads fixed
I've just fixed an error in the downloading mechanism that would give you corrupted files. All lab source file downloads should now work fine again.

Old site back up & Finals
After having switched hosts and having used a temporary site while I was sorting out things, I've decided to move this version back online. However, I'm still planning on creating a brand new one some time, but I just don't seem to find the time to do it.
As I'm currently entering my finals, I'm preparing (or should be preparing) to get into college. First comes a 3-month vacation in which I may apply to do a summer job at one of the best known Web Agencies out there, Group94, who are located in the very town I live in, not even 4 blocks away from where I'm currently studying. Since colleges I have taken interest in didn't do it for me, I'm still unsure as to what I'm gonna do next year. I hope I'll find something soon, and maybe they'll be able to help me with that.

New site for Karen Hall & Co.
I've just finished creating the new site for Karen Hall & Co., a leading make-up artist group in the US. The concept and the design was done by Sum-D aka BeyondThePixel, and I was responsible for creating both the frontend and backend for it, according to the design.
The site features an extensive CMS backend, for easy management of all content, and uses PHP, MySQL, XML and not to forget Flash for bringing it all out to your screen. You can find the site here.

Server Issues
Whew, it sure have been some troubled days for my host ... what happened is this: first they got hacked by some script kiddies. Therefore they decided to move to other servers, causing my DNS to be in need of change. But the DNS was giving problems as well, and everything just blocked until now.
I had a quick look around and a few things seem to have gone missing, such as a few images here and there. This new server also has a different PHP compilation bringing up a massive lot of code changes to be done ... So yeah, I'll better get to it than jabber about it here.
Also, I'm afraid I've missed every e-mail sent to me during the downtime. So ... sorry if I didn't reply to any message you may have sent me, I just couldn't.

Conquer the world !
Everyone ever heard of Referer Risk ? It's a huge map of the world, on which a site can gain territory by having people that visit that site click on the map. Each pixel of the map will then be owned by that site.
Of course, we at kirupa.com would like to see Kirupa own the world as it was meant to be. We are currently already at the top of the territory listings, but we go all or nothing. So head over to the world domination page and start clicking, soldier !

Pukkelpop 2005
I just got back from the Pukkelpop 2005 Festival at Hasselt-Kiewit, Belgium, and I must say that I had a great time. Out of all the bands that joined the fun, the biggest names were Marilyn Manson, The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Franz Ferdinand, The Pixies, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Korn, Bad Religion, Good Charlotte, Nightwish, and so many others I can't think of at the moment. It's been 3 days of surviving on junkfood, beer, barely any sleep and awesome bands performing live right in front of you, and I'm writing this the morning after.
Gotta love it
Shoutout to the band Johnny Panic for being relatively new and making great punkrock music live on stage even though they had a pretty lousy audience. If any of the bands deserve this, it's them. Check them out at http://www.johnnypanic.com/front.htm.
